RELEASE: New colours

We’ve been getting a few requests for the Boyd Dress Trousers to be available in fallow, well here they are – with 3 other pale colours, too. They can be found next to the previous colours of the trousers in the mens area.

RELEASE: Tops, Trousers, Vests

I know that we promised a release for blokes but we will make up for the lack of menswear in this release very soon. We’ll also be getting back into a regular release schedule, sorry for such a long absence.

Today’s release includes the Lizzy Cropped Boatneck, this top is just a simple cropped top from the front but the back sits partially open – held together with bows and decorated with white lace. The top comes in 8 colours, as do the Georgie Tapered Trousers. These cropped pants sit high and tailored on the waist with a looser fit through the legs. Finally, the Tea Hawks Vest is a long, open sleeveless jacket. The buttons are black and the vest itself comes in 6 colours.

The jewelry released at the Jewelry Fair is also now available in the store, be sure to come in and check out the Whippet & Buck Accessory Wall.

50L Friday Again

This Friday’s item is a preview of a soon-to-be-released vest that has been in the works for way too long. It’s ready now so enjoy this purple and black number for just 50L and look forward to the full release next week.

Jewelry Fair

I know we’ve been dragging our feet on the new release for a while now but I promise that it’s coming. In the mean time – Whippet & Buck has a little booth at Jewelry Fair 2009! I jumped at the opportunity as soon as I heard about it, I want W&B to start providing more accessories and the fair’s charity of choice – Oxfam – happens to be one that I feel passionately about. I applaud the organizers for choosing an international charity organization and I hope to see more SL groups embracing this. Second Life is a global community – it’s one of the best things about it.

On with the products: I’ve only got two items (in various colours) in the booth. One is the Rae Bird Brooch (seen above), it’s available in 4 colours and 50% of the profits from the green and gold brooch go to Oxfam. The other piece is a simple long necklace with a lazer-cut style pendant. You can choose either a whippet or a buck pendant and both options come in gold, silver or black. The necklace is named Peggy for my dearly departed whippet X who went to sleep for the last time this year at 17 and a half.

Full Figured Fashion

I don’t usually participate in blogger challenges but this one has particular appeal for me. If you’ve been around for a while you might remember that I use to wear a plus sized shape as my norm. These days my regular Dakota shape is much more svelte but it was a lot of fun to dress curves again for this challenge.

RELEASE: Haver Tiered Frock

Sorry about the long absence! ‘Kota and I have both been pretty sick (her fault). There’s a larger release almost ready but in the mean time we wanted to give you some new colours for the frock we made for RFL (purchasing these dresses DOES NOT donate to the cause, the original colour no longer does either). Head straight down to the end of the store to buy these in the Latest Arrivals section; there are eight different colour combos.

You’ll also notice that there is a DEMO option for this dress. Eventually, demos will be implemented for the older items as well. From now on ALL Whippet & Buck items will be released with a demonstration version available.

Yes! We have Fatpacks!

I’ve just finished installing (much requested) fatpacks above all the racks in the mainstore. They’re the little black boxes. The discounts are minimal because I’d like to encourage everyone to head down to the back of the store and grab a store card. The discount percentage increases the larger card you buy.

RELEASE: Grazia Frilly Tartan Top

Hykova, Whippet, Buck & Cole

Sorry for being a bit absent the past couple of weeks, I know this release has been a while coming. The Grazia Frilly Tartan Top is now available at the Whippet & Buck mainstore in Imogen. The top is available in 6 colours of our signature tartan. The flowing lower is nipped in with a skinny belt and comes on 2 different attachment points – so pick the one that suits your AO. Whippet & Buck aims to be trans-seasonal (like SL itself). It’s coming into the cooler months down here so we’re quite drawn to tartan but this Summer-weight top can be worn alone or layered over or under other garments (all layers included!). Try it under a prim blazer or hip-length coat.

Special thanks to effing chic Grazia Horwitz for whom the top is named, Autumn Hykova for lots of patience and use of her bedroom and to International Supermodel Haver Cole.

If you somehow haven’t yet heard: The Make Him Over Hunt is on now until the end of June. Whippet & Buck is participating and our little orange male symbol is hidden at the mainstore. Head for the mens side and maybe browse the art? The gift is a simple outfit (top and shorts) designed for the arrogant rich boy who likes to play around on his yacht – or at least boast about it while gesturing through the floor to ceiling glass windows of the yacht club. The shorts are a modified version of the previously released Harris Shorts with a modified belt and embroidered anchor on the back pocket. The top is a white short-sleeved v-neck with the same embroidered anchor.
