We’re very pleased to once again be a part of Stumblebum Brigade. We’ve made a satiny little dress with a deep V neckline and beaded detailing over the shoulders as a nod to one of our favourite items from the old days of Stumblebum (Neelia Beaded Yoke Tank).
The dresses will be available at this special pre-release Stumblebum price from 15th – 29th January.

I was stoked when Liliana Barrs of Undefined Lilies invited me to work with her for Etheria. The event itself is a fantastic idea: “Etheria is an event focused on DESIGN. It’s not a discount event – the idea is to bring together the creativity of designers and have them work together. Frequently jewelry designers make things to go with a piece of clothing. Etheria turns this idea on its head, and asks the clothing designer to make something to go with a jewelry designer’s piece.” and it’s been great to work with my sim-mate Lilie whose quirky and fashionable jewellery designs I greatly admire.
The theme for the event, that inspired Lilie’s gorgeous necklace (see it here) and in turn this lingerie set, is “Painted Ladies”. Event organiser Mouse Mimistrobell explains the theme in her blog post about the event here.

The Barr None set is more of a stylised and modern lingerie interpretation of the theme, I didn’t want to stray into costume territory but to still evoke the spirit of the period and, of course to complement the Holly is Manifold necklace. The necklace itself, I feel beautifully balances the vintage theme with being a very fashionable and wearable pieces. The lingerie set is nude with 5 different trim colours (each to complement the 5 gem colours of the necklace).

In other news, because at this time of year it can be hard to balance commitments with Second Life shopping (and because I forgot to blog it earlier) our Fifty Linden Friday item is still out!

We’re saying good-bye to Fifty Linden Friday. Whippet & Buck has been honoured to be a part of the permanent rotation since the second week of FLF when we had no idea the event would become so big and such an institution in the Second Life shopping community. Though the event itself is ending the creativity of our community is here to stay and we’re looking forward to where the coming year will take us.

We’ve always been passionate about providing great value with our FLF items so for this special final Friday we’re offering a fatpack of all 12 colours of our new unreleased Kipparing Tank for L$50. This pack contains a special pre-release bikini in 5 colours (3 solids and 2 patterns). The bikini will be released in the next few weeks in a full complement of solid colours including the 3 included in this gift but the 2 patterns will remain exclusively our gift to Whippet & Buck Silver Service members.

For me (‘Kota) Christmas-time has always meant swimming in my neighbour’s pool or playing cricket on the beach with my cousins. This is why our gift is a bikini and not a scarf or jumper (sweater), best wishes for the rest of the year and the new one whatever the weather where you spend it.

Lounge Pants, Lace Dress & Cuffs

You may have noticed that we started updating our store fittings a couple of months back and as of this release we’re trying different packaging too. Whippet & Buck products now come in a neat little canvas bag (still touch to unpack but more stylish to wear) and we’re taking this opportunity to start adding product pictures to the boxes because it’s something a lot of shoppers seem to appreciate. Feel free to drop one of us (Twiggy Whippet or Dakota Buck) a line and tell us what you think about these changes.

These are simple soft pants with a wide elasticated waistband for lolling about in. These are a previous Fifty Linden Friday item now in eight colours and the fatpack has been priced to accommodate those who bought the 4 colours released then.

The dress we made for the November round of Collabor88 is now in store. The bodice of the dress is semi-sheer lace with piping detailing while the lower part of the dress is a more subdued solid. The dress is available in four colours.

Our most recent Fifty Linden Friday item is now at its full (but still cheap) price. This super versatile and modifiable cuff is something that I (‘Kota) made for myself but now it’s texture change in 14 fashionable shades.

We’ve fallen behind with a few things due to an unavoidable RL move but here’s what’s going on at Whippet & Buck at the moment.

For Fifty Linden Friday we’re offering two sets of lounge pants for L$50/pack of two. Just some simple soft pants with a wide elasticated waistband for lolling about in.
These are currently available at the Whippet & Buck Mainstore.

The mood for this month’s Collabor88 was “Soft Exposure”. We ended up exploring this theme with a lacy little frock. The bodice of the dress is semi-sheer lace with piping detailing while the lower part of the dress is a more subdued solid. The dress is available in four colours (nude, black, baby blue & aubergine) for L$88 each or all 4 for L$288. Available at Collabor88 until December 7th.

Release: Shorts, Skirts & Bodysuits

We’re trying to catch up on our back-log of releases so there are lots of new things in store this week.

Our Chloe Shorts are pretty and feminine and come in a whopping 12 shades. They feature a delicate lace overlay and a little frill on the hip pockets. You can pick up individual colours for L$100 each or all 12 for L$775.
If 12 aren’t enough for you you can grab colour number 13 (falcon – a medium purple colour) exclusively at TRUTH DISTRICT.

A previous Fifty Linden Friday release, the Ayla Leather Skirt is made from soft, lovingly worked vegan pixel leather and is available in 6 colours. Each colour is just L$60 or grab the whole lot for L$200.

Also previously seen for Fifty Linden Friday (and now available in new colours) is the Sweet Day Bodysuit. This sweet underwear-as-outerwear staple now comes in 6 confectionery inspired shades. Each colour is L$100 or get all 6 for L$375.
